Terms of service
Effective 5 November 2026
These terms govern your use of UrbanStudy. By accessing the site or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
UrbanStudy discovers, classifies and summarises urban research and links to original publications. Features may include search, filters, topic follows, email briefings, structured research records, exports and paid subscriptions.
Research information
Metadata, classifications, translations and summaries are provided for discovery and general information. They may contain errors, omissions or machine-generated material and are not academic, legal, financial, planning, medical or other professional advice. Verify important claims against the linked original source.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining access to the Google account used to sign in and for activity under your account. Do not impersonate another person, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, scrape at a rate that harms availability, or use the service in violation of law or third-party rights.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans provide the features described on the pricing page. Prices, billing period and applicable taxes are shown before checkout. Payments and subscription management are handled by Creem. Unless the checkout states otherwise, subscriptions renew for the selected period until cancelled. Cancellation stops future renewal; access normally continues through the paid period. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Intellectual property
Original publications remain the property of their authors and publishers. The site's design, taxonomy, original summaries, software and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Links or limited quotations are permitted where lawful; bulk republication, resale or creation of a competing database from the service requires prior permission.
Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, correct records, change plan details or restrict access needed to protect the service. We aim for reliable operation but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the service or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination and changes to these terms
We may suspend or close accounts that materially breach these terms or threaten the service. You may stop using the service at any time. We may update these terms; the effective date above identifies the current version, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
